Why our namesake “Cottonwood Station”? A combination of the original name of our town, “Cottonwood Springs”, before it was renamed to “Blue Diamond” by the Blue Diamond mining corporation in the 1940s, and the town used to be a stopping point, a “Station”, along the old Spanish Trail.
Founded and built in 2018 by Jody and Steve. The baton was handed to Brian Fisher in 2024. Read the story in Las Vegas Review Journal
Meet Our Team
Meet Brian Fisher, the person who this place owns. Mild mannered Brian loves to mountain bike. One day while riding by, prior owner Jody “The Queen Of Cottonwood”, bopped him over the head and said “It’s Yours”. Having loved Cottonwood and being a frequent customer Brian said “Absolutely Yes!”.
His wife Oulay Fisher and Brian also run Calabash African Kitchen. Why did Brian decide to take on a second restaurant? He loves Cottonwood and perhaps also a touch of insanity 🙂
What’s With The Donkeys?
Red Rock Canyon, Blue Diamond, and surrounding areas have lots of wild donkeys. They love our town’s natural spring and park with grass to feed on.
Many ask… “Where do the Donkey’s come from?”. It’s starts with the mommy donkey, daddy donkey, we play mood setting music from our outdoor patio, and let nature take it’s course 🙂
